Setup:
-
Print and cut out Time is Brian Cards
-
Shuffle and place them face down on the table.
Gameplay:
-
Each player draws one card, reads the developmental milestone and age aloud, and places it face up in front of them to start their personal timeline.
-
The first player draws a card from the deck and reads the event aloud without revealing the age.
-
The next player (Player #2) must decide where this new milestone fits relative to the cards in their own timeline—either before, after, between, or at the same time as the milestones already placed.
-
Correct guess: If the player guesses the correct position, they keep the card and insert it into their timeline in the right spot.
-
Then, they draw a card and read it aloud for the next player (Player #3), and play continues clockwise.
-
Incorrect Guess: If the player is incorrect, the card passes to the next player, who attempts to place it correctly in their own timeline. This continues until all players have had a chance to guess.
-
No Correct Guesses: If no one guesses correctly, the age is revealed and the card is discarded from the game.
-
The first player to place 7 cards in their timeline wins.
